Partner with Sea Dragon
Sea Dragon is being prepared for a solo, non-stop, unassisted lap of the planet, leaving Port Adelaide in October 2027. We're looking for partners to help equip her for one of sailing's toughest challenges: funding, essential equipment, technical support and practical help.

Corporate sponsorship is on top of the A$100,000 public campaign on GoFundMe, and is counted separately. Everything on this page is a proposal until it's agreed in writing.
Every partner buys a piece of the refit
Once Tim leaves, nothing can be bought, fixed or delivered. Sponsorship pays for the gear that has to be aboard and working on day one, and we'll report back on what your support bought as the refit goes on.
Sails and rigging
A new suit of sails, storm sails and new standing and running rigging. The one thing that can't fail for ten months.
Power at sea
Generator and solar, with a new battery bank, keeping the autopilot, watermaker and comms running for ten months.
Staying in touch
Iridium tracker, AIS and Starlink, so the world can follow him and he can call for help.
Water
A watermaker, with rain catchment as the backup.
Safety and survival
Liferaft, EPIRB, drogue, jacklines, emergency tiller and a jury-rig kit.
Spares and stores
Spares of just about everything, a medical kit with remote support, and food for the best part of a year.
Five ways to come aboard
Guide levels for a conversation, not a menu. Every package is shaped around what you want out of it.
Principal Voyage Partner
A$75,000 and up
The most prominent branding on the boat and the site, plus media and content benefits worked out together.
Major Corporate Partner
A$40,000 to A$60,000
A feature on this site, branded voyage updates, and selected photos and interviews.
Official Equipment Partner
A$20,000 to A$40,000
Stories about your gear in use on the voyage, and acknowledgement on the site and in updates.
Supporting Partner
A$5,000 to A$20,000
A listing in the sponsor directory and regular acknowledgements.
Technical or Product Partner
In-kind, by agreement
Recognition in proportion to the value and relevance of what you supply.
Benefits depend on what's practical, editorial and safe. No partner is promised uninterrupted media reach, and no agreement gives a partner a say in decisions that affect the safety of the boat.
Put your gear on the boat
A product that gets Sea Dragon around the world without stopping has been tested harder than any brochure can claim. Equipment and services are valued and reported separately from cash sponsorship, and we tell the story of your gear in use, from the refit to the finish line.
We're looking for:
- Sailmakers, riggers, deck hardware and heavy-weather gear
- Marine electronics, autopilots, satellite comms and tracking
- Solar, batteries, alternators, charging and electrical systems
- Safety, emergency, survival and medical equipment
- Watermakers, mechanical parts, provisions and weather routing
- Prosthetics and mobility: a solo circumnavigation is the hardest test a prosthetic will ever get

On board so far
Our first corporate partner has signed on. We'll introduce them here as soon as their logo and details are approved.
Partners are listed, and logos shown, only with their written permission. Sponsored, donated and paid-for items on the boat are disclosed on this site and in the captain's log.

The sponsorship prospectus
A short document covering the voyage, the audience, the refit and what each level includes.
